Child Protection Policy
Child protection is high on The Club’s agenda. Through trained coaches and the efforts of Lower Derwent Sports and Social Club’s Child Protection Officer the club maintains its awareness of child protection and best practice.
The FA’s initiative - Goal - is about doing things properly. It's about allowing children to enjoy the game without abuse of any kind. That means bullying, physical, emotional or sexual abuse and neglect.
Like the FA, Elvington Harriers believe football can have a powerful positive influence on children. But that means everyone involved in football must take on the responsibility of looking after those children that want to play the game.
In addition to child protection the club recognizes that club officials, senior team members and supporters/parents are role models for our junior team members. It is important that all involved with the club therefore recognize this and act accordingly.
