How to join our Club
The Club is always keen to attract new players whether young or old, coaches, managers or anyone who thinks they have something to offer the club. The club is a voluntary organization so a lot of the work that goes on behind the scenes is through the generosity of a large number of volunteers.
If you are interested in joining the club contact Nigel Colley on 01904 608184.
The Junior team managers are always looking for additional help, so we would be more than happy for parents to lend a hand during training and match days.
Could you manage a Junior team? Football experience is not essential, we have qualified coaches to help you and courses to get you up to speed. All you need is enthusiasm and some spare time weekends/weekdays. We do recommend at least two people to help run a team. We will also help you look for players if you have a particular age group in mind.
Please note that we are not restricted to the Junior teams we have at the moment and if you would like to start up another team feel free to give us a call. The Club is more than happy to provide the facilities and kit.
We would especially like to hear from anyone who is interested in setting up the following:
- ladies or junior girls team,
- under 7 or under 8 boys team
Do you run a team for another club but haven’t got enough players?
If you are struggling to find enough players for your team, Elvington Harriers would be more than happy to discuss the possibility of a merger. Our Under 15 team recently joined forces with Stamford Bridge to produce a highly successful team.
