The club is open to all between the ages of 5 to 8 (or above if not playing in a competitive team).

The aim of the club is to give children an introduction to football, with all that it entails such as team play, discipline, fitness, skill development and of course FUN!

This year the club is being run by Nigel Colley, he has been involved with football for many years, and with Elvington for eight years. He is signed up to all the Lower Derwent Sports Club safety and equality policys including child protection. As well as being a qualified first aider he is also the Elvington AFC current Chairman.

Last year the club was run with the help of several parents/carers assisting with the sessions, with some of those people and their children now playing for our U9s. To run the Saturday morning club successfully we will again require the assistance of parents / carer’s.

Please do not feel that if you have no experience or knowledge of football it is not for you. This is an inclusive club.

The sports club will be open for coffee; teas etc and help with this maybe required.

1. Please note it is the parents / carers responsibility for transport to and from every session. Parents / carers are welcome to stay, spectate and/or assist.

3. It is expected everyone taking part, helping or spectating observes the Elvington Harrier’s Code of Conduct (this applies to all ages and activities involved in the football club). Good behaviour is expected at all times.

5. All participants must wear suitable footwear (boots or training shoes) and also wear a pair of shin pads (this is an FA directive).
